Day 11(Monday, 19 April)
NPID meeting...meeting agenda were as following...1)Status update on April target on air sites...2)Site Aquired(SAQ)...3)Plan on air for May target...4)CME Purchase Requisition(PR) status...the meeting start about 10.30am...all HOU were involved and other technical officer too...so the meeting room quite crowded...in the morning session they were focusing on CME PR status...there were 25 own build sites...7 on tower...6 on lampole...6 on building and 6 on monopole...they also discuss on site aquired on SBC(company assigned by MCMC) sites...the meeting continue in the afternoon and this time they were discussing about the status update for April on air target and planned for May on air sites...according to KPI for May there were 25 sites 3G sites all in Terengganu supposed to be on air but as told by the logistic, there were limited equipment(node B) which was only for 10 sites(9 indoor, 1 outdoor)...so from 25 sites they discussed which sites were ready for installation..
Day 12(Tuesday, 20 April)
I didn't notified by En. Zul that today we are going for site visits so I dressed formal, suddenly that morning he asked me to follow him to KIA Bukit Ubi and Dungun for commissioning...in the morning we(En. Zul and I) went to KIA Bukit Ubi because last week there were no rectifier as requested but on the weekend they sent the rectifier but with no battery so today the battery was delivered...at the site, the modem, node B and DDF was already patch but the PCM and alarm wiring from node B to DDF was untidy so En. Zul told the contractor to fix it...

arround 11am we went for commissioning 2G site(site ID: Risdam)...location Terengganu(Dungun) around 110km from Kuantan...
Tower Structure Outside BOC,DB,cable ladder(behind)
Before commissioning, we have to make a loop at the modem and contact switching technical officer in Semambu to make sure that the site was connected/linked to the switch/RNC...then we rearrange the cards(TRE(trans receive equipment), ANC(antenna network combiner), SUMA(station unit module advanced)) of the RBS(Alcatel Evolium A9100) according to sector(1,2,3) for easy maintenance and upgrading and make the wiring/connection look tidy...then connect the network interface Port 1(75 ohm) to modem(120 ohm)...this connection must be interconnected by Balun...then connect ABIS port 1 to the laptop(serial port) to access into the RBS system and setting the Q mark address so that switching in Semambu can remotely access to the RBS because all the settings will be uploaded from there into RBS(on site just connect and put address)...
Rearrange the BTS cards according to sector Huawei RTN620 Modem

on site, we just have to wait for switching finished upload all the data into RBS...here we can see the RBS LED indicator whether the uploading is complete...after uploading complete, we have to connect the alarm wiring(main failure, rectifier failure and door open) and test whether the alarm functioning or not...thats all for commissioning 2G, next we make a drive test for signal coverage and test call...
Day 13(Wednesday, 21 April)
yesterday En. Zul said that today we will go to site in Temerloh so I didn't bring my laptop suddenly En. Zul told me that its not today...I didn't know what to do in the morning...I just read over and over the Microwave Survey Report(MSR), Cell Design Data(CDD), and SDP...all the document was dated 2007...therefore today I went lunch a little bit early and bring my laptop in the afternoon...in the afternoon, En. Zul asked me to follow him to Celcom Semambu(RNC and mobile switching centre,MSC) to search for antenna bracket for Kg. Jembal sites because logistic didn't send any bracket to the site so currently the antenna is attach to the boom using cable tie...there I can see how they monitor the connection between the MSC and all the RBS in the Eastern Region...they can monitor how many people were using the line for each sector and alarm from any RBS if occured...

Day 14(Thursday,22 April)
so today the activity was 3G commissioning at KIA Bukit Ubi...as arrived there Alcatel contractor(Abg Khalid and Abg Zarul) was already there and try to ping from the site to RNC in Indera Mahkota but failed...FYI for 3G commissioning, the contractor from vendor(Alcatel) will do the commissioning different compare to 2G which Celcom technician can done it plus all the settings were given by the vendor and the settings/data have to be upload on site...for 3G the connection between node B and RNC is using IP Address...3G configuration used at this site is 8E1(8 x 2Mbps = 16Mbps) of data rate transfer...but for commissioning purpose they only connect 1E1 from node B to DDF...
Pinging to RNC(Indera Mahkota) in progress Modem already patched to DDF
since they cannot ping from here to RNC so there must be an interconnection problems...as usual first thing in troubleshooting was to check the physical interconnection...but then still cannot ping...so maybe the interconnection between node B and RNC...so they called staff in RNC to reset IMA(interconnection from transmission link/MW and RNC/switching) in Indera Mahkota...but still failed to ping...in the afternoon they still cannot ping to RNC...after resetting the IMA for second time, they succesfully ping to RNC...commissioning complete...they connect all 8E1 from node B to DDF and node B LED indicator signal green(ok)...
Me on site Node B physical connection troubleshoot
Day 15(Friday,23 April)
In the morning today, there was a meeting to list down issues and action plan due to NPID HQ will be visiting NPID Eastern Region on 27 April and also meeting on status update for April on air target...1)KIA Bukit Ubi Port 8E1 failed...2)Kg. Teluk(3G) in Kelantan Port 7E1 failed...3)Indera Sempurna no problem(8E1 commissioned)...so in the afternoon, I joined En. Zul went to KIA Bukit Ubi for troubleshooting but first we make a drive test for coverage signal and speed test at Indera Sempurna...all the residential area of Indera Sempurna was covered with 3G...next is KIA Bukit Ubi...there will be also Alcatel contractor(Abg. Zarul)...we disconnect all 8 connection from node B at DDF and connect only port 8 but still failed(node B LED indicator-red)...so En. Zul contact technician at Bukit Pelindung to make a loop(just connect KIA Bukit Ubi and Bukit Pelindung)...the node B indicator was green...so thats mean between this site to Bukit Pelindung has no problem...therefore there must be a connection problem between Bukit Pelindung to RNC in Indera Mahkota...so we just connect back all 8 connection from node B at DDF...
