Day 6(Monday, 12 April)
Since every Monday morning there will be a morning talk and tazkirah so I decided to go to the office early...so this morning I didn't sleep after solat Subuh and get ready around 8am and didn't take any breakfast because there will always be a breakfast at the office for Monday morning...I drove my car about 8.10 without rushing but still manage to arrived at 8.20...at 8.30 I went downstairs to listen to the tazkirah and morning talk...but after that they said breakfast was not prepared yet so everybody went back to their places...just wait for about 15 minutes one of the staff said"jom mkn"...went downstairs again and found out the breakfast was nasi minyak...huhu quite hungry though...what a "rezeki"...I ate at Kak Lin's(Hj. Nizam Secretary) desk and have a chit chat a little bit...bla..bla..bla...After breakfast I went back upstairs and I thought I want to continue blogging but after a few minutes Kak Fazrina (NPID secretary) came in along with projector and laptop so I asked there is a meeting? Meeting about what?...meeting about the progress of last week April Target for on air sites…as planned last week there will be 2 sites in Kuantan that I will go accompanied by En. Zul and a few site that pending for delivery equipment before, already approved for delivery but still got sites that still pending approval from MCMC and shared site with Maxis still pending approval from Maxis…so right now is about 2.30pm, there will be a meeting with Alcatel-Lucent(contractor) planned at 3 pm but mmm I don’t know, just wait and see…mmm the meeting will be about 3G(node B) equipment…also tomorrow will be a meeting with supplier, Huawei, I don’t know when maybe tomorrow morning and it will be about transmission link(microwave)…yeah it’s 10 am tomorrow morning(Kak Fazrina said)…it’s 5pm right now…just went back to the office after having a drink(after the meeting) with the Alcatel-Lucent contractor(diorg belanja), my supervisor and En Fauzan…just listen to their chit chat almost all about work so yeah surely I’m blurrrred…let's go back to the meeting…the agenda of the meeting was SSV status…SDP submission…equipment delivery and installation…TP submission…3G on air sites for April(5 sites),May(25 sites),June(35 sites),July(30 sites)…before went home I have to certified my logbook for the last week activities first...huhu easily done I thought he would complaint but he just said to separate the activities to morning and afternoon that's all...end of the day...
Day 7(Tuesday, 13 April)
same as yesterday I arrived at the office 8.20am...I think I have to keep my attendance this way or even more earlier...this morning I guess I just have to wait for the meeting with Huawei at 10am so for about 1 and half hour I will just googled and wiki for the technical term and anything necessary...sharp at 10am 2 Chinese guy from Huawei walk into the meeting room so does Kak Fazrina, En. Fauzan, En Zaidi. and my supervisor, En Wan Norhisham..this time the as I said yesterday the meeting was all about transmission link(microwave)...its an update for delivery and installation of microwave and modem for the on air site target for April plus other sites also...the meeting was up to lunch(about 1pm) but sharp at 1pm I went home for lunch and solat Zohor...when I'm back to the office around 2.10pm Huawei guy already packed their laptop and have a chit chat outside the meeting room with Celcom transmission technical officer(En Syed and En Asde) so I just walk bypass them into the meeting room...Kak Fazrina's and En Fauzan's laptop were still there but no one there...after some time both of them continue discussion about summary SIF approval from last week meeting...3G overall for Eastern Region as of 28 February 2010...suddenly they found that the overall record from HQ and their record were mismatch (HQ overall 407 sites but Region 405 sites)...so they give me a task to find any mistake or error in their record which suppose to be 404(done) + 3(WIP)...it took me about half and hour to find the error since I have to compare 400++ sites...finished the task, I went for solat Asar and sharp 5.30 I went home(earliest so far)...
Day 8(Wednesday, 14 April)
yesterday, En Zul told me that tomorrow(today) he will bring me to 2 3G sites(Indera Sempurna-lampole and KIA Bukit Ubi-Rooftop)...so today I wear T-shirt(tug in) with slack pants instead of formal dressing...around 10am we went to Indera Sempurna first...
Lamp pole Skylift BTS outdoor cabin(BOC)
skylift and contractor already there but equipment not yet delivered as planned plus Maxis link(microwave) was attach to Celcom's antenna boom since there was only one boom for microwave(MW) at the very top of the lampole which also marked for Celcom...so En. Syed had to call Maxis to send their contractor to relocate their microwave...
En. Syed, En. Zul(On the phone),contractor En. Zul(Mobile), Abg Asde(Tx), En. Syed(Tx)
a few minutes later Huawei contractor arrived with link equipments(2 feet microwave,Huawei RTN620 modem)...so to not wasting time Huawei contractor assemble the modem in the BTS outdoor cabin(BOC) and attach the MW to the boom on lampole...since there was no boom for Maxis MW, Celcom's contractor fix a new boom to the lampole...
Transmission link(MW) installation in progress Contractor connecting modem to grounding board
View from the back of BOC Modem installation in progress Modem complete installation
in the afternoon Maxis relocate their MW onto the new boom but got problem doing alignment...so En. Syed and Maxis contractor discuss to solve the problem and the solution was to swap the MW, Celcom's MW attach to new boom while Maxis on the exisitng one...
around 4pm the equipments(Node B,antenna, jumper cable, feeder cable etc.) arrived from KL but found that some equipments were not delivered(PCM cable, node B power cable) and wrong jumper to feeder connector...
so the contractor just do what they can which were connecting the jumper cable(7/16 inch) to antenna and wrap the connection with insulation tape(weatherproofed the connection),lift the node B(200++ kg) into BOC and stored the equipment on site since they can't attach the antenna to the boom because transmission's contractor was using the skylift...
next stop was KIA Bukit Ubi, its around 7pm already so they decide just to stored the equipments there and continue assembled tomorrow...we already request for trolley in the Material Request(MR) Form to lift the node B(200++ kg) because KIA Bukit Ubi site was on building(2 storey shoplot) but there was no trolley therefore they(the logistic transporter) need extra man power(pay to the contractor to lift equipments)...9.30pm went home...

around 4pm the equipments(Node B,antenna, jumper cable, feeder cable etc.) arrived from KL but found that some equipments were not delivered(PCM cable, node B power cable) and wrong jumper to feeder connector...
Kathrein Antenna: X Pol, 1710-2200MHz, 18dBi, 65 degree beam width, 2 degree elec. tilt
Mismatch(wrong) jumper-connector Antenna bracket
so the contractor just do what they can which were connecting the jumper cable(7/16 inch) to antenna and wrap the connection with insulation tape(weatherproofed the connection),lift the node B(200++ kg) into BOC and stored the equipment on site since they can't attach the antenna to the boom because transmission's contractor was using the skylift...
lifting the node B into BOC
Day 9(Thursday, 15 April)
Since yesterday equipment still not assemble so today one more time visit to Indera Sempurna site...from what I was informed, Maxis and Celcom's transmission MW was completely attached and aligned at 11pm yesterday...and today as we arrived, the antenna already attach to the boom on the lamp pole but the jumper cable still not connected to the feeder cable since the connector was wrongly delivered...
so today they(the contractor) brought their own connector (extra connector from previous sites)...I watched and learned how they fix the connector to the feeder cable(7/8 inch) and here was the result...
in the afternoon, they already connected jumper cable from antenna to the feeder cable and fix the feeder cable onto cable ladder...
Cable ladder attached to BOC
while they were fix the feeder cable, Huawei contractor was aligning and commissioning transmission link...one person at the MW while the other at the modem(in BOC)...the modem was connected to the laptop and all the reading and status of the transmission can be seen...this MW is transmitting(L.O.S.) to Sg. Soi tower(about 4.19 km) so it must be synchronized(the frequency range(15GHz) from low to high or high to low, the output power gain etc.)...at the MW the contractor used voltmeter(voltage) to match(tuning) the power gain in dB(shown in the laptop) as set by provider
Day 10(Friday, 16 April)
Today make a summary from the site visit but actually didn't know what to write from morning till about afternoon...it's about time to went home already suddenly En. Wan Norhisham came in and asked me what did I do today and I said study the new term and equipments that I learned from the site visit...so he asked me to put this on the logbook...first about mobile - antenna type, feeder cable, connection on node B, Distance to fault (DTF) calculation, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio(VSWR), total gain...second is about transmission - Microwave survey report(MSR), the installation, testing and commissioning...for mobile he said to asked En. Zul while transmission En. Syed...so finally I have an idea what to write...
